It all depends on what kind of food you feel like.  Some of the best include Agean Breeze, Dharma Blue, Fish House, and Peg Legs

Carpe Thunnus

I support commercial snapper fishing.

When we were in Pensacola last Friday we ate lunch at the Ale House on Airport Rd (?).  It was cheap but good & they had food and drink specials that I could not believe! :-)

McGuire's is one on my favs. :-)

Jerry's Cajun Cafe is pretty good as well. Get the boudin balls as an appetizer and I would suggest the cup and a half for the main (lots of other good options as well).

Georgio's has the best pizza in town. Which reminds me, I have half of one in tha car I gotta go get.

Peg Leg's is the best on the beach and my wife makes a wicked pepper steak. I'm not inviting you, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Go to CARRABBA'S, prices are a little on the high end, but the food is some of the best. Also if your into chicken, the Chicken Trio is a must, it's not on the menu so you've got to ask for it.

McDonalds. Burger King, Wendy"s, Krystal, Whataburger, the food is consistently bad, high calorie, gut sticking, colon clogging. heart blocking. But have been eating it since high school (76').

You must eat @ Mcguire's.  That is a pensacola landmark, just as Jerry's drive in.  If you have kid's they will love Flounders on Pensacola Beach, big open playground with volleyball net's and Big Jungle gym.  Same @ Peg Leg Pete's.  The Fish house has wonderful food in an upscale enviroment.  They also now have live entertainment.  Stay away from Hemmingways on Pensacola beach, food is average and you never really know if they are serving the fish they are advertising.  Good luck on your trip.

I will second the motion to stay away from Hemmingways on the beach.  I have been served raw food there on two occasions.  And I am not talking about a steak etc... I like my cow still mowing.  I thought the first time was just a fluke.  Went back there again and was served uncooked food again.  And both times, the manager that I talked to simply said, we will get you a new one.  Not a single "Sorry about that" or "that meal is on us" or anything.  High priced crap is what they have at Hemmingways.

Go to CARRABBA'S,

yall are crazy. the man is coming to pensacola to visit and you send him to a chain, where he can find the same food just about anywhere? i dont think so. think local.

for a good sandwhich, i enjoy that little place over towards the west side going out of town back towards Orange beach. Hip Pocket Deli.

for dinner, i still like going to sam's occasionally. landry's isnt bad but often has a wait. mcguires has good prime-rib. fish house.

Hip pocket deli I think Wood.

Local, local, local.

Sam's has great food, freshest grouper, ask if Big Sam went and caught it.

McGuire's steaks can't be beat with a big stick. And if you're on the beach, Peg Leg's has great everything and Paradise Bar & Grill is a great hang out with greesey cheeseburgers.

If you decide to go to McGuires, be prepared for a bit of a wait if there not DEAD. My friends and I usually have our bday dinners there and the past several times, we have waited up to 3 hours (line, and to get food) And that was WITH reservations.

Skeet,

That is exactly what I'm saying. It's not bad food at those joints but it's not the freshest, not the best and not what I personally choose to eat.

You might dig it and that's cool but I don't get down like that. What-a-burger is about the only chain I frequent.

Go to Jerry's. It has awesome food and very low prices. I can go eat there for like 6 bucks. Their milkshakes are good too. If you go there the bacon cheeseburger is where its at.
