The new club i'm in has a no dumping rule. I need a place to take the deer I kill next year to get processed. I drive on 87 the whole way back and forth to the camp, is there a deer processer along that path? I would like it if they also gut the deer b/c of the no dumping rule and it's just nice to pay someone else to do it. I was paying a place near Auburn $75 to be gutted and processed near my old lease. Thanks

There is a place on HWY 41 just north of brewton on the right that does deer processing. Probably 4-5 miles out of town, I would say. I pass it every time I take 41 to I-65. Don't remember the name.

Lee's is on 87 in Milton, they did 6 deer for me and a hog last year and they are real resonable and do great work. Not sure if they will clean it for you might call and find out.

Thats it, they might have limited hours during the summertime, I would try again Monday.

That is D,G & K....I take all of my deer there, they have the best snack sticks and smoked sausage you have ever had, BAR NONE... Mr. Danny Fleming is the owner, one of the nicest most personable men you will EVER meet. To me, it's WELL worth the drive if you're only a few miles south of Brewton. He will take your deer no matter WHAT TIME it is, had a friend drop a deer off one night at 11:30 on the way back from our camp in Camden and he took it and cleaned it right then...

Holy cow...at $60 each that's  $840 for processing.  That is some kind of serious meat freezer.

Come on man, Cleaning the deer is part of the fun. I understand though if you don't really have a place to do it. I'm just lucky enough that I can take mine to my parents house to clean and my little boy likes to help me out also. We kind of make it a family affair since I don't kill many. We'll have a cleaning/cook-out party when I do get lucky enough to get one

It is interesting that the club doesn't designate a small area close to the gate / highway to dump the guts. The local buzzards will consume the entrails in a matter of a few hours.
Other than a little blood or fluid staining the ground, it will be gone.

It is fun to have a couple beers and clean deer with friends and family sometimes. The last couple years I mostly hunt by myself in the middle of the week so I would just rather pay someone and go home to hang out with Jen and Zach. The club pres said they all clean their deer at home. I just cant do that.

I dont think you will have a problem finding a processor to clean them but you are more than welcome to clean'em at my house, I live about 15 min east of 87.

Would it be possible for you to use the Blackwater cleaning facility or would you need a WMA stamp and Florida license ?

The division of forestry has one off Munson hwy near hwy 4 and it is for public use.  They have a specific area for the remains.  I haven't been there in a few years, but it use to be pretty nice.  I'm pretty sure you don't  need apermit

I had heard at one time that Blair's just outside Jay processed deer. You may want to look them up and check on it.

Danny Flemming will do you right. I had a stick of summer sausage from his place last weekend. It was some of the best I had tried lately.

His summer sausage isn't NEAR as good as the snack sticks he makes... Those things are out of this world and GREAT snacks for the kids... But summer sausage and Velveeta Pepperjack cheese is DANG sho good too...
