| Fished East Bay and Blackwater yesterday. My first time ever fishing the area. We fished Oyster bars and reefs in both shallow and deep locations. Fished some channel structure, marsh drains and mud flats. Fished really hard for several hours to only have a few small trout to show far it. The lack of bait fish and mullet really suprised me. We saw maybe two mulet all day, and they were near the launch. Once we got to the areas we were wanting to focus on it was like a desert. No bait, no mullet, no movement....nothing. All in all a pretty boring day, but there is still alot af area to fish from blackwater back around to Escambia River before the winteris over. *Highlight of the Day* We saw two large Bald Eagles in the top of an old dead tree. Very beautiful and majestic sight. Sorry no pictures, just wasn't anythig worth a picture....

Sorry you guys had a bum day. I've had a few of those lately. If the eagles you saw in the old dead tree is close to the mouth of the East River, I made the same identification, except for my brother-in-law corrected me and told me they are Osprey. I still am not sure which. Better luck next trip...

| I was out there this weekend too near Robinson Pt. and defintely saw a large Bald Eagle in a dead pine tree. I used to live out there and saw them all the time. Jason

Yeah BP I had an eye on it all day. Wasn't a real big swing. I didn't get on the water till around 9. My chartplotter was reading a 57 degree surface temp. Seemed alittle low to me. That's when I moved out to deeper water looking.

That's when I moved out to deeper water looking.at 57 Deg....you might as well throw your gulp in the water, twitch once, drink a 1/2 beer, then twich again, have a 1/2 sandwich, twich again and repeat. better yet, stay at home and do the same thing!

| I was out at Blackwater yesterday, also. It was kinda spooky with not much bait/mullet/fish movement. Fished two and half hours before dusk and only managed 2 shorties. Broadmouth to Big Catfish. Very slow and cold.

You have to be North of the I-10 bridge when the water gets down below 56-57 deg.The bay area of Blackwater will be like you said a desert! All the bait bunches up in the deep holes north of the bridge and the trout hang out there pretty much all winter. We had a really good day yesterday north of the bridge. No monster fish but a bunch of 15-19inchers. They were very aggressive. Didnt matter what you threw as far as lures go yesterday. Even got a few on topwater! If you guys want a map of some fo the deep trout holes north of the bridge then pm me.

Water temp about 56-57 Went again earlier in the day Sunday. Water temp 53-55. Didn't see a thing. Amazing that a few degrees makes such a difference.

| This 26 1/2" red was caught this morning on Blackwater. Biggest fish ever for this young man. Very impressed with his fishing skills. Throwed a baitcaster all morning never backlashing. Ended the morning with 1 red and several 16"-18" specks. Fishing Blackwater will test your patience. Fish SLOW!!! SLOW!!! SLOWWWWWW!!!

| Thanks for all the responses guy's. Brant thanks for the offer on the trout holes. I will probably take you up on that. i am gonna give it a while first. My favorite part about fishing a brand new area is trying to figure it out. I love studying the maps, and tide movements and all that junk. Kinda makes fishing challenging again. Unlike fishing a well known area like the sound. Anyway guys I will keep you posted on the quest for the Dirty 30, I'll probably be back out there on Friday and Saturday maybe even sunday... HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
