My great friend in Ft. Lauderdale is coming up to spend Thanksgiving with us. He is a big Mountain Bike enthusiast. Is there anywhere in P-Cola he can go ride?

Best place around here are the trails at UWF. Porc.org (Pensacola Off Road Cyclists) is the site to visit for maps and info.
He will have to deal with some sandy spots though, but they are some fun technical sections.

As everyone else mentioned, the best in the immediate area is UWF. I used to ride out there a lot, but haven't ridden since '04.

I've heard good things about Big Oak Mountain in B'ham, but I haven't been there. Now that my little sis lives 5 minutes from there, I'm going to check it out soon.

When you guys come to Birmingham give me a shout and I will tell you how to get to Hwy 55 in Westover. Bikers ride through the mountain past my house all the time. I wont join you but I will meet you at the pit stop for a cold one.

There is also a small biking trail at the Blue Angel MWR on Lillian/hwy. 98. Not for the hardcore, but somewhere to ride off-road nonetheless.
