It has dual tanks and the switching valve went bad, anyone know where that is located on the truck? i tried to follow the fuel lines with no luck. Appreciate any help.

The tank selector (1980-1996) valve should be mounted along the LEFT frame rail. Front tube is pump supply, center is front tank and lower to the rear tank.

You will need a special disconnect coupling tool. If you need a picture of one I can snap and post. Come usually in a set of 4 or 5 and not expensive for the plastic ones for the home mechanic. There is a "O" ring spring in the connector that needs to be expanded to separate the lines. Saw them in Auto Zone today for $10.00, metal $20.00

I took the front tank off of my 91 F 150 and threw it in the backyard. The fuel pump is bad but I dont want to through the tank away. If you ever have a need for it or know anybody that might let me know. Whoever wants it can have it.
