Well after half a day of negotiations and a little poker savvy, we are the proud new owners of a houseboat!!!!!! What a platform to fish, hunt and ride dirt bikes from! Here's a few pictures. It's in Gainesville Ga so it will have to be transported here. While it's out of the water I'll have the outdrives serviced and new boots installed if needed. I'll install a transducer too so I can look for big stripers from the flybridge.

Here's the listing:

1984 SUMERSET HOUSEBOATS 14 x 70, THIS BOAT IS IN GREAT SHAPE. ITS BEEN UPDATED WITH A PARTY TOP, 2500 INVERTER, BILGE HEATER, CENTRAL AIR,THREE ROOF AIRS, NEW ICE MAKER IN WET BAR, FRONT ENCLOSURES AND CANVAS, T.V.'S WITH INTERNAL SOUND SYSTEM. WINDOWS HAVE DECO BLINDS AND ARE TINTED. BOAT IS OFFERED FULLY FURNISHED INCLUDING DECK AND ROOF FURNITURE. TWIN MERC 140 H.P. I/O'S WITH ONLY 580 HOURS, 6.5 ONAN GEM-SET.

Flybridge with full instrumentation

Still in Knoxville,TN but working on it.

Thanks for all the info. Lets go fishing! Can't wait to meet more of you folks.             Hal, you owe me a beer!

Cool! We rented one a few years ago on lake powell and went from place to place for about a week. It was a ton of fun. Don't plan on getting there very fast though! We were able to do about 6 mph on calm days, and 7 mph with a tail wind.

Thanks for the invite Tom. I'll check it out. I grew up on houseboats and had two in my first marriage. That was 15 years ago so it's time to get back in the game.My daughter is 20 and the boys are 6 and 10 years old. I can't imagine a better way to spend quality time with them and my wife, fishing, cruising, swimming and hunting.
