High tide was at about 0900, 1.8 ft., but Ike is still pushing water into the bayou. Our dock is normally about 3' above mean tide, now it is underwater by a few inches.
We have already rescued two kayaks that drifted down from an upwind neighbor's dock.
Check your dock lines as we may have this for two days.

Tom i hope you and Mrs Bobbie are doing well...keep a close eye on that water i think its gonna get higher.....im coming over for the fort mcree campout hopefully and if i do i may swing by and say hello for a minute or 2.....take care

Hey Sam, you da man! I will let you know.
A neighbor east of us has captured one of the derelict sailboats that have been half a**ed anchored in the turning basin between, PSY, Joe Patti's & Island Cove Marine. He has chained it to his dock until the SOB pays for damages.
We have complained to every governmental agency about these derelicts for years, but us po'folk down here on Bayou Chico are not listened to. You don't see any derelicts in Texar or Little Sabine.........
