This was a couple weeks ago with Rich and Sean out diving. Rich bounces the live bottom spot to make sure we were were we needed to be, and comes up and says yes...were on it.
Bout a 7 to 8 foot shark on it too. I ask what about fish, he says yes, nice ones.
Me and Sean say...lets hit it.
As soon as we get down there, I see a nice size snapper, and POP! As soon as I do, this 7 foot shark swoops in on him and snatches him up AND my spear too! He shakes his head like a pitbull, and takes off. (I have teeth scrape marks up and down my spear shaft).
He starts dragging me around the bottom of the ocean, and I refuse to give up my Riffe! At this point I am more scared of telling Coochie I have to buy another gun, than I am of the shark!
I look at Sean for a little help, because this shark is taking me for a ride and almost ripping the gun out of my hand with this gay little game of tug-o-war, and Sean is on his knees on the bottom pointing at me and laughing his ass off almost spitting the regulator out of his mouth.
The shaft and fish slips out of the sharks mouth for a second, and I start tryin to pull it in as fast as I can, and he circles back in, and grabs it again! DANG MAN!!!
Little more tug-o-war, and finaaly the fish flys off the end of the shaft and flips up in the water, the shark drops my spearshaft, and snatches the fish;.
At this point, fear is gone, and I am pissed. He got my nice snapper, and the douche-bag tried to take my gun too! I start loadin my gun as fast as I can, whole time the shark is stayin right in front of me circling, (and Seans holdin him at bay too with his gun), and as soon as I get my gun loaded, I went right after the shark, and he decided that was a good time to leave.
Thank god. I don't know what I would of done if I would have caught up to him! I wasnt thinkin that far ahead.

It was not great viz down there, and there was a lot of bubbles from some heavy breathin on my part! But I edited it to get rid of all the unwatchable parts.After you click on it, give it a little time to load up and buffer.

What Clay forgets to mention is that on the previous dive I had a nice snapper swiped from me by what was probably the same shark. I shot a nice snapper right through the head, but a little high and the shaft didn't have anything to hold on to and the dead fish with half of his head missing floated down to the bottom. When I dropped down to get him, in swoops this shark and swipes my fish. DESPITE this report they decided it would be a good idea to dive this spot. I bet you listen next time Clay  Just kidding man. I had a great time finally getting to dive together. Seriously though, if you don't get that dolphin video up soon Briana is going to shoot both of us! She has been telling everybody at work about that dive for weeks now and every day I get asked when you are going to have the dolphin video up! So get it done already so I don't end up dead over some freakin dolphins!

Sharks are getting smart like the dolphins. Dolphins go to the people fishing to get their fish off them and now sharks are showing more aggerssion towards spearfisherman. That shits crazy, i woulda shit my wetsuit.

Hey Chris...I don't know how I put 09 for the year! I havent had my powerhead down with me cuz I need to repower the gun with more bands, since the range on it underwater sucks, so I was without my trusty friend! I sure wish I woulda had one though! I woulda pried his dead stiff jaw open and snatched my snapper back too! I wasn't plannin on shootin him with my speargun, that shaft goin thru that leather skin woulda never pulled loose, and I woulda lost my gun for sure! I don't know why I chased him...just felt good at the time to throw my chest out...ya know? I had got completely owned by him, so I needed to "talk some smack" as he was leavin..you know..."thats right...beat it...I knew you dint want none punk!" Had he stopped and turned around though...I woulda been dumbfounded. And believe me...my pucker factor was off the scales. My anus was so puckered up, it was a day before it relaxed and I could take a crap! Hey Rich....dolphin video soon to come! Bob....gettin ready to post the youtube link now of the shark WE owned with the powerhead!!!

That's why I'm not a Cat Person! lol! I don't think Shark fishing from the beach will ever bother me at all, but I gotta give you guys credit for being underwater and trying to do the USFC thing! I'd have to be able to see better before I'd go overboard anyway1 Do ya think you'll ever buy a license and sell some Shark meat to us that aren't that brave?
