We trolled just off the beach today , maybe 300-400 yds out, and were catching Little Tunny like crazy, but only about 10 inchers. Does that make any sense? I had never really heard of them coming in like that. No big ones either :(. Does anyone know the regulations on Tuna or Little Tunny (bonito)? I didnt see 'em on fwc. Thanks for any help.

| No regs. You can kill 'em all. Not to good to eat though.

We used to catch those small ones using big sabikis near Crab Island - haven't caught any this year though.

| You can catch the little ones close to the beach sometimes in the summer. Here's one a guy in our crew caught recently no more than 100 yards off the beach.
As I can remember, the little ones were schooling up about 1-2 miles offshore last year in the early fall. Soon after, the big ones come in

whats cool about those is that you will also get little frigate mackerel with them to and those little bonitos if you can keep them alive you will catch some of the biggest snapper you ever will on them

Matt09 (7/29/2008) you can eat the big ones, you gotta gut them soon as you get them in and slit the throat, then cut out the blood lines when you fillet.Dude, either you have no taste buds, are Japanese,or have smoked too much dope to think they taste good! The one True King is holding is kind of small but will make great bait which is all they are good for. Chunk bait and the skin makes great strip bait once properly brined too Net much more tastier fish once boated. Eatin them though, well even the hungriest of cats will turn down that meal.

Sorry for the mistaken identity,we've never met. Good sized bait though for a snapper.
